Disclaimer
----------
This product is SHAREWARE, this means that you may distribute it as long as
you like. But if you use it, you'll have to send the author a fee of 25 DM
by international money order. Parts of this product may NOT be included in
commercial products without the written permission of the author. The
future of this product depends on you. If you support me I'll continue
working on it.
Coding this product took one week of my summer holidays and I mainly did it
to get the money for an A3000, so please consider sending me the fee.
My address is at the end of this file.

Updates
-------
If you would like to have an update you should already have payed the fee.
I recommend sending me a disk for fastest answer. To do me a favour put
something (legal) on the disk that has not yet distributed on Amiga Library
Disks.
People who want something changed have to wait until I've got
enough new stuff in the product to release a new version.
Suggestions & Ideas
-------------------
Suggestions and ideas are welcome and free :-), they should concern the
product but they don't have to. Please indicate wether I shall answer your
letter or not.
==============================================================================
Features
--------
-done in short & fast assembly
-looks great in combination with WBPatterns
-similar to OS 2.0 preferences editors
-uses OS 2.0 'UserClip' copperlist clipping
-system friendly
-uses new 'COPR' IFF format (see specs)
-flexible SetCopper
==============================================================================
Installation
------------
CopperPrefs place is in your PREFS directory, SetCopper feels home in your c:
directory. SetCopper should be running when starting CopperPrefs.
Sorry to all NTSC users for my PAL presets.
==============================================================================
Introduction
------------
Tired of these boring WBPatterns ?! Tired of your 4 color WB ? I think
I've got something interesting for you...
CopperPrefs gives you the possibility to use your own copperlist instead of
the background color. It works like OS 2.0s preferences editors.
Using SetCopper
---------------
'SetCopper' is started once in the Startup-Sequence and displays your
copperlist that is in Env:Sys/Copper.prefs. After doing this it waits
until you change the copperlist with 'Copper' and displays the new one.
'SetCopper' is able to display COPR files that are breaking the limits of
'CopperPrefs':
-changes ALL colors
-displays multiple MOVEs in one line
You should RUN or RUNBACK 'SetCopper' in your Startup-Sequence AFTER
IPrefs.
Using CopperPrefs
-----------------
CopperPrefs offers a user interface similar to OS 2.0s preferences editors.
When starting CopperPrefs displays in its message window the amount of
rasterlines your display offers. In this version of CopperPrefs it is
possible to change the background color only once per rasterline :-(.
In the upper left of the window you'll see three slider gadgets displaying
the Red, Green and Blue value of the current line. Use them to
modify the color of the source line.
THE RGB-SLIDERS WILL ALWAYS DISPLAY/MODIFY THE COLOR OF THE CURRENT SOURCE
LINE.
You can change the current source & dest lines by
-entering integer values in their integer-gadgets
-by using the line-slider at the bottom of the window and picking the
line number into their integer-gadgets
-by swapping them
The following commands work with the source and dest line:
COPY: Copy the color of the source line to the dest line
FILL: Fill the range from the source line to the dest line with the
color of the source line
SPREAD: Spread between the source line and the dest line
The menus work exactly like the menus in the OS 2.0 preferences editors.
==============================================================================
TO DO
-----
-CopperPrefs doesn't save icons. Who needs icons for prefs anyway !?
-SetCopper doesn't UnLock the WBScreen -» you can't close it.
-blinking actual Rasterline ?
-loading/saving CopperLists is slow at the moment. Perhaps I'll speed it
up.
-slow down scrolling in the message-window a little bit
==============================================================================
Greetings & Thanks

-Mum
-Arno Gölzer (MrgCop() & LoadView() is much faster than RemakeDisplay() !)
-Nico François (still alive ?)
